What age groups do you serve?
West Valley Swish Academy offers training programs for youth ages 5–15. Players are grouped by age and skill level.
What does a typical training session look like?
Sessions include warm-ups, shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, conditioning, and controlled scrimmages.
Who are the coaches?
Our coaches are experienced basketball players and certified trainers who are passionate about youth development.
How many players are in each training group?
We maintain a player-to-coach ratio of approximately 8:1, with a maximum of 10:1.
How do you measure player progress?
We use regular skill assessments and feedback covering ball handling, shooting, defense, conditioning, and game awareness.
What does the program fee include?
Fees cover coaching and court time. Any jersey, league, tournament, or special-event inclusion will be stated in the applicable program details.
Do players compete in games?
Yes. We organize scrimmages and may enter local leagues and tournaments as opportunities become available.
How do you handle different skill levels?
Players are assessed during their first session and placed in a group suited to their current ability.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are held at local parks and indoor gyms in the Las Vegas area. Specific locations are provided during registration.
What should players bring?
Players should bring a water bottle, gym shoes, and athletic clothing. Basketballs are provided.
Can parents watch?
Yes. Parents are welcome to observe sessions and discuss development goals with coaches.
What happens if a player is injured?
Coaches respond promptly, contact the parent or guardian, and follow appropriate safety procedures.
Do you provide conditioning or nutrition guidance?
Yes. Coaches may provide age-appropriate guidance on conditioning, healthy habits, confidence, and mental preparation.
